We've decided to go “virtual” with presentations from our scientists and others so that we could stay connected with our NatSci alumni and friends.  A novel machine learning model developed by researchers at MSU suggests that mutations to the SARS-CoV-2 genome have made the virus more infectious. Nature provides roadmap to potential breakthroughs in solar energy technology.  As species dwindle, data about them are on the rise.  New study shines light on mysterious giant viruses.  It’s been a busy few months honoring our faculty, alumni and staff.  Giving Profiles over the past months: Clay and Nancy Hunter, Joan and Jack King, and John Ohlrogge.

Spartan alum, medical laboratory scientists test for COVID-19.  'Optical tweezers' help in quest for better cancer treatments.  Trinidad's guppy-filled streams provide lab for genetic rescue research.  Chemists charged up to make the future of energy renewable, profitable and CO2 free.   The MSU College of Natural Science (NatSci) has selected several alumni, faculty and students for outstanding achievements and excellence to receive its 2020 Awards.
